If you want to be put on some fish! Then book with captain J. Lines were tight all day! Super fun! He is really knowledgable of Key largo! Great conversations and experience!

Captain Jason was by far our best chartering experience we have ever had! He was so knowledgeable and alllllll about the teaching and taking care of us. Took us to several different spots and we caught so many mutton snappers, yellow tail snappers, mangrove snappers, and a porgy. we almost got a barracuda and grouper before they broke the line but this Captain knew his stuff and talked you through it! You actually get to do the fishing not just sit around and wait to reel them up. We can’t recommend Captain Jason enough!

We had a great time, the three hour trip was just the right amount of time for the three of us. We caught Permit, yellowfin, and some weird stuff we didn't/couldn't keep.

I don't visit the keys without a fishing trip with Lock It Up Charters! 10/10 cannot recommend enough. I considered myself a hardcore fisherman, especially saltwater as I am from the Midwest and rarely get the chance..and Capt Jay is my GO-TO Every time. I love that he matches the energy and it's clear he genuinely loves to be out there guiding and fishing. New boat with a lot of room, everything provided (even though I like bringing a rod or two of my own.) Every time we come back to the dock people are shocked how many fish we caught (he fillets your fish and tarpon go crazy), and my freezer is loaded for the year. This picture is from one all-day charter on 11/20/25, with just me and Capt Jay on the boat. My arms are sore, but couldn't be happier with the multiple trophy fish caught today. Looking forward to the next one! Fish KEPT: 8 Triggerfish 2 Rainbow Runners 3 Yellowtails 6 Yellow Jacks 2 Schoolmaster snappers Mangrove snapper Spanish Mackerel 2 trophy permits Red grouper Many more caught and released...

Excellent trip. Had a great time CPT J was awesome. He knew all the best spots, my kids enjoyed this so much. You will definitely not be disappointed. Don’t forget to to bring back some grub for the dock pets they too won’t disappoint!!

Trip - The Deep Wreck Fishing Challenge on August 4, 2025

Jay was friendly and taught us a lot as first timers. He was on time and cleaned the fish we caught after we docked. We had 3 kids (7, 6, and 3) and he was great with them as well. If the fish weren’t biting he moved us to a different spot too. He had cold water and Gatorade for us which was much appreciated when I got seasick.

Captain Jason was terrific! Very personable and knowledgeable about what he does. He knew where to find the fish and the best techniques to get them on board. He was great with our boys too! Even stayed out a few minutes late to make sure one of them had a chance to get their barricuda. We had a not so great experience with a different captain earlier in the week, but Captain Jason more than made up for it.

Myself, my girlfriend, and her 12 yr old son just finished a great trip with Captain Jay! He immediately reached out to me after I booked the trip and I explained I just wanted the 12 yr old to have an awesome experience. Capt. Jay did not disappoint! He was great communicating with us in planning and scheduling our trip. We had some tough conditions, but Capt. Jay still was able to put us on some fish. He was great with my girlfriends son and we had a great time out on the water. Capt. Jay is an awesome guide/fisherman and person! Do not hesitate to book a trip with him - you will have a great day!

We had a great time fishing with Captain Jay!!! He is super knowledgeable and took us to a great spot. He was in contact with us prior to our trip and was flexible to make sure we had the best experience possible. We wish we had more time out on the water.
