I met Jason a few days before our fishing trip because I wanted to give him information on our goals for the day. The trip was for myself, my wife, daughter and granddaughter. He seemed very confident that he could get us on some fish and I was confident that we were going to like him. Well he over delivered the entire time. My granddaughter had never caught a fish on her own before and she came home having caught the most. I don’t know how many she did catch but it was more than a dozen (by herself). My daughter caught a beautiful African Pompano that was the best catch of the day. My wife and I caught our share as well. Beyond the catching, we had the best time. Jason had us all laughing all day but never stopped working to make the day’s fishing as good as could be. Highly recommended.

Jason is and awesome guide. He knows his trade well and and how to treat his customers from the second you get near his boat to the end of the day when you are leaving with bags full of fish filets. If you want some extra fun, ask him to hook you up with a shark or two.

Jason is a awesome Captain and gets you on the fish. He also has a great personality, and is great with kids. I couldn't imagine a better Captain we could have gone fishing with. I would definitely recommend a 8 hour trip with him if you are a die hard fisherman, you won't be disappointed.

Had an Awesome Day! Capt Jason brings a great attitude, is knowledgeable on the ways of the water and how to catch fish. He immediately put on fish and was an excellent guide of where to cast, why we were using the bait we were and what types of fish we would catch. In addition Captain Jason was very attentive to keeping our hooks constantly baited, keeping us hydrated with waters and sharing stories of fish caught before on trips he’s done. No doubt in my mind Capt Jason will be my Capt of choice whenever I go out again off Key Largo.

Our family had a great time fishing with Jason at Lock It Up! We did a 3 hour charter and he had no problem keeping up with all 5 of us. We caught a lot of fish, with the Permit and a shark being the highlights. Super friendly and knowledgeable guy! Definitely recommend

I don't visit the keys without a fishing trip with Lock It Up Charters! 10/10 cannot recommend enough. I considered myself a hardcore fisherman, especially saltwater as I am from the Midwest and rarely get the chance..and Capt Jay is my GO-TO Every time. I love that he matches the energy and it's clear he genuinely loves to be out there guiding and fishing. New boat with a lot of room, everything provided (even though I like bringing a rod or two of my own.) Every time we come back to the dock people are shocked how many fish we caught (he fillets your fish and tarpon go crazy), and my freezer is loaded for the year. This picture is from one all-day charter on 11/20/25, with just me and Capt Jay on the boat. My arms are sore, but couldn't be happier with the multiple trophy fish caught today. Looking forward to the next one! Fish KEPT: 8 Triggerfish 2 Rainbow Runners 3 Yellowtails 6 Yellow Jacks 2 Schoolmaster snappers Mangrove snapper Spanish Mackerel 2 trophy permits Red grouper Many more caught and released...

The boat ride is often forgotten, ours, out and back, was "smooth sailing". Jason is very knowledgeable about the area and a skilled fisherman. We have fished near shore reefs for years and caught two species new to us. Almost all the catch were keepers. We kept the best for a super dinner. Since we were nearby, Jason spared us the drive and picked us up at our location's dock. We ready for our next trip!

This was a great outing for my 3 boys who went boating and fishing for the first time. Captain Jason was patient and kind with them. I appreciated that he actually taught the boys how to fish, about marine life and end the end taught them how to clean the fish. Monday will be a good eating day! 🥰 Thank you Captain Jason!

Another great time with Captain Jay!! My boys and I take a lot of these trips, and no one catches more variety than Jay - Five different kinds of snappers, porgies, sharks, blue runners, Spanish mackerel, trigger fish, hog fish, and the list goes on. His technique and knowledge is second to none and we were busy all day. Kept about 1/10 of what we caught and Took the catch to a local restaurant for the best eating out there. Such a great day and an even better guy. We’ll see you again - hopefully sooner than three years!
